How to generate reports

Summary

The MindBridge platform assists financial professionals in identifying anomalies, errors, and fraud in financial and operational datasets. There are many reports you can generate within MindBridge to document and present your findings.

Learn about the various reports in MindBridge below, as well as how to generate and export them.


Go to the Reports tab

  1. Select the MindBridge icon in the sidebar. You will go to the Organizations page.
  2. Select View in line with the desired organization, or click anywhere in the organization row. You will go to the Engagements page.
  3. Select View in line with the desired engagement, or click anywhere in the engagement row. You will go to the Data page.
  4. Select View Analysis on the desired analysis. You will go your team's default dashboard within the analysis results.
  5. Select the Reports tab.

Tip: If you are already in an analysis, use the sidebar ( Sidebar open-close icon.svg ) to open the Analyze menu ( Analyze menu icon.svg ), then select the name of the analysis you want to see and go to the Reports tab.


Export a report

On the Reports tab, select Export in line with any of the available reports. The report will appear in your default download location.

Note: The Significant Account report requires that the analysis has been scoped for significance based on materiality.

Balance sheet 

Includes a list of the assets, liabilities, and capital of the business at quarterly intervals, detailing the balance of income and expenditure over each period.

  • All general ledger analyses

Expense flurry

An export of all the periods flagged by the Expense Flurry control point, which is detects unusual spikes in expenditures across periods.

  • General ledger (NFP)

Fund expense flurry

An export of all the periods flagged by the Fund Expense Flurry control point, which detects unusual spikes in a fund’s expenditures across periods.

  • General ledger (NFP Fund)

Income statement

Includes a financial reporting summary covering quarterly periods year over year, showing revenues and expenses through operating and non-operating activities.

Interim roll forward check

Compares the interim and final general ledgers, and highlights any changes or errors that occurred to transactions between the interim and year-end.

Interim analysis must be enabled to activate the interim roll forward check.

Planning analytics

Summarizes financial statements and annotations that describe the nature of the balance and/or variances across periods. 

Financial statements must be enabled to activate the planning analytics report.

Significant accounts

Summarizes financial statement results, relevant analytics such as trends and ratios, and entries selected for examination (pertaining to each account). 

Financial statements must be enabled to activate the significant account report.

Statement of functional expenses

This report includes a breakdown of all expense accounts in the general ledger by program.

  • General Ledger (NFP)

Summary of transactional risk

Summarizes the overall results of the analysis and allows you to add explanatory details and observations in text.

Risk overview must be enabled to activate the summary of transactional risk report.

Trended account details

Provides a complete set of financial information for accounts on a per month and per year basis, and can be used to generate custom analysis, reports, and ratios.

Completeness check

Helps verify a general ledger’s completeness by comparing supplied closing balances with values calculated by MindBridge.

Unbalanced transactions check

Includes any transactions that have unbalanced debit and credit amounts.
