Significant account report

Summary

The significant account report summarizes the financial statement results, relevant analytics (such as trends and ratios), and tasks that were created on entries.

Learn how to create, view, edit, and export a Significant account report.

Note: You must scope accounts to unlock the Significant account report.

Navigate to the Reports tab

  1. Select the MindBridge icon in the sidebar to go to the Organizations page.
  2. Select View in line with the desired organization, or click anywhere in the organization row to go to the Engagements page.
  3. Select View in line with the desired engagement, or click anywhere in the engagement row to go to the Data page.
  4. Select View Analysis on the desired analysis, or use the sidebar to open the Analyze menu, then select the name of the analysis you wish to see.
    You will go to the Analyze page.
  5. Select the Reports tab.


Create the report

From the Reports tab

  1. Below Significant account, use the menu to select an account*.
  2. Select Create report.

From the Financial statements tab

  1. Select the drill-down icon in line with the intended account*. 
  2. Select View significant account report.
*Note: You may only create a report from accounts mapped to at least "Level 3" codes.

View the report

From the Reports tab

  1. Go to the Custom reports section.
  2. Select the report name to view it.

From the Financial statements tab

  1. Select the drill-down icon in line with the intended account*. 
  2. Select View significant account report.
*Note: You may only view a report from accounts mapped to at least "Level 3" codes.

Included in the report

  • Period-over-period performance on a horizontal and vertical basis
  • Monthly Trend Chart
    • Note: If an App Admin has disabled the Trends tab in the Analysis Profile, this section will not appear in the report.
  • Key Ratios
    • Only ratios which explicitly include the financial statement account selected as well as ratios which include lower-level accounts for which the selected account is their “parent"
    • Note: If an App Admin has disabled the Ratios tab in the Analysis Profile, this section will not appear in the report.
  • Monetary Flow Visualization
  • Transactions Selected for Investigation
    • This section captures account-specific entries being sampled as part of the substantive testing strategy for the account selected.
    • In this section you will see transactions that contain entries with audit plan tasks for investigation. 
      • Note: To add tasks to this section, go to the Entries view of the Data Table.
      • Note: This section can display a maximum of 100 tasks on entries. Export the Audit Plan to see a full list of tasks.

Comments and supporting context can be added to any section of the report before it is exported.


Edit the report

From the Reports tab

  • Select the Edit icon in line with the report, or,
  • Select the report name to view it, then open the Actions menu and select Edit.

From the Financial statements tab

  1. Select the drill-down icon in line with the intended account*. 
  2. Select View significant account report.
  3. Open the Actions menu.
  4. Select Edit.
*Note: You may only edit a report from accounts mapped to at least "Level 3" codes.

Edit mode

Edit mode allows you to enter notes and comments in the blank fields below each section, as needed. 

When you are satisfied with your edits, Save your work and go back to View mode.

Cancel any time to discard changes.


Export the report

Once you have created the report, there are a few ways to export it.

From the Reports tab

  • Select the Export icon in line with the report name, or, 
  • Select the report name to go to View mode, then open the Actions menu and select Export.

From the Financial statements tab

  1. Select the drill-down icon in line with the intended account*. 
  2. Select View significant account report.
  3. Open the Actions menu.
  4. Select Export.

The .pdf file exports to your computer.

*Note: You may only export a report from accounts mapped to "Level 3" codes.

Copy the report to your clipboard

Copy a report to your computer's clipboard so you can paste it into the document format of your choice, such as Microsoft Word or Excel*.

  1. On the Reports tab, select the report name.
  2. Open the Actions menu.
  3. Select Copy.
    The entire report is copied to your clipboard.

Delete the report

  1. On the Reports tab, select the Delete icon in line with the report name.
    A warning message appears to inform you that deleting the report cannot be undone.
  2. Select Confirm to permanently delete the report.
