Learn about risk scores in the engagement settings.
Configuration details
App Admins may restrict how much control a user has over adding and removing control points, and adjusting their unique weights and settings. Depending on which settings have been restricted, certain elements may be removed or read-only.
Go to the Risk scores tab
- Select the logo in the MindBridge sidebar.
You will go to the Organizations page. - Select View in line with the organization you want to see, or click anywhere in the row.
You will go to the Engagements page. - Select the settings icon (
) in line with the desired engagement.
You will land on the General settings tab on the Engagement settings page. - Select the Risk scores tab.
You will see various risk scores pre-populated by MindBridge.
Overview
Risk scores inherit the default settings from whichever library the engagement is using, but can be adjusted in the engagement settings to tailor the analyses to your needs.

View a risk score
The various risk scores are grouped by analysis type.
Use the analysis menu to select an analysis type:
- General ledger
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
Use the risk score menu to select a risk group:
- MindBridge score
- Assets assertions
- Liabilities and equity assertions
- Profit and loss assertions
Select a risk score to expand the risk group and see the control points that comprise each group.
Adjust control point weights
- Drag the slider in line with the control point to your desired weight, or input a value from 0-100 in the number field.
- When you are satisfied, Save your changes.
A pop-up window appears. - Enter the reason for the change.
- Select Done.
Adjust control point settings
Each of these control points have additional settings which are universal to all risk scores within that analysis type in the engagement.
Expand the control point row to expose its universal settings.
Complex Instrument
- Select Edit.
A pop-up window appears. - Use the X to remove words from the list.
- Select Add keywords at the bottom of the list of words.
- Enter a new keyword or phrase.
- Use the comma key (,) or press return/enter on your keyboard.
You can enter as many keywords as needed. - When you are satisfied, select Done.
End of Analysis Period
- Select Edit.
A pop-up window appears. - Adjust the number of days after an analysis period based on your firm's methodology.
- When you are satisfied, select Done.
End of Reporting Period
- Select Edit.
A pop-up window appears. - Adjust the number of days after a reporting period based on your firm's methodology.
- When you are satisfied, select Done.
High Monetary Value
- Select Edit.
A pop-up window appears. - Adjust the top percentage of monetary values based on your firm's methodology.
- When you are satisfied, select Done.
Manual Entry
- Select Edit.
A pop-up window appears. - Use the X to remove keywords.
- Select Add keywords below Manual Entry Codes or Excluded Keywords, respectively, to add keywords to each.
- Enter a new keyword or phrase.
- Use the comma key (,) or press return/enter on your keyboard.
- You can enter as many keywords as needed.
- Use the minus icon (—) to remove entire rows.
- Use the plus icon (+) to add rows.
If you add a new row, enter a column header. - When you are satisfied, select Done.
Material Value
- Select Edit.
A pop-up window appears. - Adjust materiality based on your firm's methodology.
- When you are satisfied, select Done.
Old Unpaid Invoice
- Select Edit.
A pop-up window appears. - Adjust the number of days based on your firm's methodology.
- When you are satisfied, select Done.
Suspicious Keywords
- Select Edit.
A pop-up window appears. - Use the X to remove words from the list.
- Select Add keywords at the bottom of the list of words.
- Enter a new keyword or phrase.
- Use the comma key (,) or press Return/Enter on your keyboard.
You can enter as many keywords as needed. - When you are satisfied, select Done.
Disable a risk score
- Open the more actions menu (
) to the right of the risk score.
- Select Disable risk score.
The Disabled status appears beside the risk score name. Control points within the risk score are no longer editable. - When you are satisfied, Save your changes.
A pop-up window appears. - Enter a reason for the change.
- When you are satisfied, select Done.
Enable a risk score
- Open the more actions menu (
) to the right of the risk score.
- Select Enable risk score.
Control points within the risk score are editable. - Save your changes.
- A pop-up window appears.
- Enter a reason for the change.
- When you are satisfied, select Done.
Enable and disable control points within a risk score
- Expand a risk group.
- Open the more actions menu (
) to the right of the risk score.
- Select Edit.
A pop-up window appears - Select the Control points field to expand a list of available control points.
- Check the boxes next to the control points you want to add, or enter the control point with your keyboard then press enter/return.
- Select the X icon to the left of the named control point to remove it from the risk score, or use the X icon to the right of the field to remove all control points from the risk score.
- When you are satisfied, select Done.
New control points are highlighted in blue and will have a default weight of 0%. - Adjust the control point's weight as desired, then Save your work.
A pop-up window appears. - Enter a reason for the change.
- When you are satisfied, select Done.
