Roll an analysis forward from an existing engagement

Rolling an analysis forward will pre-populate the prior period data of your new engagement to streamline the data import process. Data from an existing engagement will be copied over to the new engagement as follows:

Existing engagement

Prior period 1

Prior period 1

Prior period 2

Prior period 2

Prior period 3

Prior period 3

Prior period 4

Prior period 4

Data is not copied to new engagement

To roll an analysis forward from an existing engagement:

  1. Select Create engagement.
  2. Name the engagement.
  3. Open the Library menu and select the appropriate library.
You must select the same library as was used in the engagement you want to roll forward.
  4. Beneath Roll forward, follow these steps:
    • Use the Organization menu to select the correct organization.
    • Use the Engagement menu to select the correct engagement.
    • Use the checkbox(es) to select one or more analyses.
  5. Enter the appropriate information in the Engagement planning section, then select Next.

Note: Only completed analyses can be rolled forward.

Importing settings from an existing engagement

To use settings from an existing engagement you must select a library, which enables the option to select an organization and engagement in the Import settings section of the page.

If the selected library is different than what is being imported, you will be restricted in what settings can be imported.
