Data connectors: Connect yourself

  • Updated

Summary

Data connectors allow you to import all available data needed for an analysis at once.

Those with appropriate permissions in the ERP (or applicable financial management system) can quickly and easily connect to a data source directly.

Note: The column mapping step is pre-mapped by default but will give you an opportunity to review the mappings and add any custom categories you would like.

Reconnect a data source

You may need to reconnect to a data source if you are past the authorization period and need to sync more data. A disconnected data source is indicated by a red disconnected label at the top right of the page.

To reconnect a data source:

  1. Open the Actions menu at the top of the Data page.
  2. Select Manage data source.
This will take you to the Data Source page.
  3. Select Reconnect in line with the ERP you want to reconnect to.
Once the data source is reconnected, the red disconnected label will switch to a green connected label.

To sync data:

  1. Open the more actions menu ( More_actions_menu_icon.svg ) in line with the analysis name.
  2. Select Configure data source.
  3. Select the connected data source.
  4. Select the files you want to sync.
  5. When you are satisfied, select Sync.

Disconnect a data source

Disconnecting a data source gives you control over when you want to disconnect from your client's ERP. Disconnecting will not affect any data that has already been synced but will disable the ability to re-sync or sync new data.

To disconnect a data source:

  1. Open the Actions menu at the top of the Data page.
  2. Select Manage data source.
This will take you to the Data Source page.
  3. Select Disconnect in line with the ERP you want to disconnect.
