Summary
Learn how balances are presented on the Financial statements dashboard in an interim analysis.
Answer
MindBridge conducts an "apples to apples" comparison of the current and previous periods.
Income Statement: The YTD numbers (as of interim) are presented as the current year compared to the same range from the prior year. For example, if there are 9 months worth of interim data, the prior year sales numbers would use the same 9 months from the prior period.
Balance Sheet: The YTD numbers are presented as the current year compared to the full prior year. This is because MindBridge displays the change in value that occurred during the current period, which is best displayed by comparing the balance at the end of the current (interim) period with the balance at the end of the prior (complete) period.
