Filter on the Risk overview dashboard (GL)

Summary

Risk overview provides filtering options to allow you to quickly and easily compare accounts and slice-and-dice the ledger data to gain more insights.

Learn about filtering on the Risk overview dashboard.

Tip: The filters you apply to this dashboard will persist when navigating to other tabs, including Data table, Ratios, and Audit assertion risk.

Go to the Risk overview tab

  1. Select the logo in the MindBridge sidebar
    You will go to the Organizations page.
  2. Select View in line with the desired organization, or click anywhere in the organization row. 
    You will go to the Engagements page.
  3. Select View in line with the desired engagement, or click anywhere in the engagement row. 
    You will go to the Data page for that particular engagement.
  4. Select View Analysis on the desired analysis.
  5. Within an analysis, select Risk overview.*

*Note: This is the default landing tab within accounts payable and accounts receivable analyses.

Tip: If you are already in an analysis, simply use the sidebar ( Sidebar open and close icon ) to open the Analyze menu ( Analyze menu icon ), then select the name of the analysis you want to see and go to the Risk overview tab.


Filter options

By default, the Account, Debit Value, Credit Value, and Effective Date filters are visible. Open the More menu for additional filter options.

  • If you select multiple values within the same filter menu, they will be added together.
  • If you select multiple values from different filters, they will intersect.

Account scoping filters

Note: This filter is only available once materiality is added to the analysis and accounts have been scoped.
  1. Open the Account scoping filter menu.
  2. Select whether you would like to view Significant accounts, Insignificant accounts, or Unscoped accounts.
    The dashboard is updated upon selection.

Account filter

Note: MindBridge will only display accounts with activity in the periods being analyzed.
  1. Open the Account filter menu.
  2. Use the checkboxes to select an account group or an individual account*.
    Expand groups with the chevron icon ( Expand chevron ) to the left of the checkbox. 
  3. Apply your selection(s).
    MindBridge filters on all accounts within that group.

Category filters

The User ID, Type, Source, Fund, Program, and user-created filters allow you to select multiple values to filter on. 

  1. Enter or select a filter from the available menu(s).
  2. Apply the filter to update the dashboard.

Date filters

The Effective Date and Entered Date filters allow you to select a specific date, a date range, and, before or after a specific date.

  1. Use the menu(s) to select the dates you want to see.
  2. Apply the filter to update the dashboard.

Monetary filters

The Debit Value and Credit Value filters allow you to define a value using a few different methods: a specific value, between two values, less than a specific value or more than a specific value.

  1. Use the menu(s) to select the values you want to filter on.
  2. Apply the filter to update the dashboard.

Materiality filters

Materiality is the minimum value that is considered to be significant. 

Note: You must add materiality to the analysis to use this filter.
  1. Use the menu to filter for:
    1. Above threshold: Current period value is above the materiality threshold.
    2. Below threshold: Current period value is below the materiality threshold.
    3. Above percentage of threshold: Current period value is above the provided percentage threshold. 
  2. Apply the filter to update the dashboard.
