FAQ: When can I update library settings?

Answer

App Admins can make changes to library settings at any time, however, changes made to presentation settings and risk settings within the context of a specific analysis type (such as the General ledger tab) will not be reflected in existing engagements that use the given library, as these changes could cause issues for engagements that are in progress.

If you want to see these types of library settings changes reflected in an engagement, you must create a new engagement.

Which library settings changes appear in existing engagements?

Library details tab

Most settings on the Library details tab can be updated as needed, and will be reflected within all engagements that use the given library upon saving.

Note: The Analysis types, Account grouping, and Industry tags fields cannot be updated after the library has been created.

General ledger tab

All of the settings that appear within the Analysis configuration section (i.e., dashboard permissions, available reports, and additional tools and settings) can be updated as needed, and will be reflected within all engagements that use the given library upon saving.

Which library settings changes will not appear in existing engagements?

General ledger tab

Changes made to the Presentation settings (listed below) will not be reflected in existing engagements:

  • Ratios
  • Filters
  • Segments
  • Populations

Changes made to the Risk settings (listed below) will not be reflected in existing engagements:

  • Risk ranges
  • Risk scores
  • Custom control points
