Summary
Risk ranges are customized scoring parameters that determine the minimum and maximum percentages for low, medium, and high risk levels, respectively.
Each risk range can be applied to a custom risk score to help you set clear guidelines around how to handle entries within each risk level.
Learn how to create and manage risk ranges for your team in the library.
Go to risk ranges in the library
- Select Admin ( ) near the bottom of the MindBridge sidebar on the left side of the screen. You will go to the User Management tab in the Admin settings by default.
- Go to the Libraries tab. You will see a list of libraries available in your tenant.
- Open the Actions menu in line with the library you want to see.
- Select View library. You will go to the Library details tab on the Libraries page.
- Go to the General ledger tab. You will go to Analysis configuration section.
- Select Risk ranges in the menu on the left. You will go to the Risk ranges section where you can see the list of available risk ranges.
Overview
This screen provides a high-level overview of the different risk ranges created by your Admin team, including:
- Name: The name of the given risk range.
- Description: The purpose of the given risk range.
- Low: The minimum and maximum percent associated with low risk entries.
- Medium: The minimum and maximum percent associated with medium risk entries.
- High: The minimum and maximum percent associated with high risk entries.
- Status: Indicates whether the risk range has been applied to a library risk score ("Active") or not ("Inactive").
Find a risk range
Enter a full or partial search term into the search bar, then press enter/return on your keyboard or select the magnifying glass icon ( ).
Organize columns
Sort by name
Sort your risk ranges by name in ascending or descending order by selecting the Name column header. The darker triangle indicates the sort order.
Reorder columns
Click and drag the desired column header left or right into its new location.
Add and remove columns
Open the Columns menu on the right side of the table and check the box next to each column you want to display.
Pin a column
Pinning columns ensures they will stay in view when scrolling horizontally.
Open the menu ( ) within the column header you want to pin, then select Pin Column and choose the pin location on the table: Left, Right or No Pin (default).
Create a risk range
App Admins can create risk ranges in the library. Existing engagements using the library will not be impacted, but these new ranges will be available for use in new engagements as needed.
- Select Create risk range.
- Enter a unique Name.
- Enter a Description of the risk range to help your team understand its purpose (maximum 250 characters).
- If you want to remove a risk level from scoring entirely, deselect the associated checkbox.
For example, deselect Medium to remove it from this configuration, and only apply Low and High risk when scoring.
Note: At least 2 risk levels must be selected. - Adjust the range of each desired risk level using one of the following methods:
- Use the slider: The slider marks the end of one risk level's range and the beginning of another. Move each slider left or right as desired. The percentage fields below will automatically update with your changes.
- Use the percentage fields: The percentage fields clearly indicate the minimum and maxim values applies to each risk level. Enter your desired percentage into the appropriate field.
- When you are satisfied, select Create. The new risk range will be added to the library with the status of Inactive* (i.e., not yet in use) and you will go back to the Risk ranges section.
- If desired, apply the new risk range to a custom risk score. Risk ranges that exist within the library can be also applied to your custom risk scores within the analysis settings of analyses using that library, regardless of whether the risk range has an Active or Inactive status in the library.
Select Cancel any time to discard your changes and go back to the Risk ranges section.
Edit a risk range
You can edit risk range settings in the library.
- Select the edit icon ( ) in line with the risk range you want to update. A form window appears.
- Update the risk range as described in steps 2 through 5 in create a risk range above.
- When you are satisfied with your updates, Save your work. You will go back to the Risk ranges section.
Select Cancel any time to discard your most recent changes and go back to the Risk ranges section.
Delete a risk range
You can delete Inactive risk ranges from the library as needed, but Active risk ranges cannot be deleted.
- Select the delete icon ( ) in line with the risk range you want to delete. A confirmation window appears.
- Select Delete to permanently delete the risk range. The risk range is deleted and you will go back to the Risk ranges section.
Select Cancel to go back to the Risk ranges section without deleting the given risk range.
Filter for risk ranges in your analysis
Once an analysis has been run with your risk ranges applied, you can use the Risk range filters on the following dashboards:
- Risk segmentation: Use the filter to further customize a given segment and gain deeper insights by finding or excluding entries with specific risk ranges.

Data table: Within the Entries view, use the basic and advanced filters to better align MindBridge results to your firm's methodologies.
