Summary
Learn about the error code MBER1201 and how to resolve it.
Symptom
The following error appears when trying to create an account grouping.
The {accountName} account contains inconsistent Balance Sheet and Income Statement mappings.
What does this error mean?
This is a damaging account grouping issue that happens when the "parent node" is specified (L1, L2, or L3, i.e., the node must have other nodes nested beneath it), and its "children" contain MAC codes that appear in both the income statement and balance sheet. This damages the Financial Statements tab, since that L1 appears on both reports. Therefore, the account grouping is not valid.
Resolution
Check the account grouping file for any parent node (L1, L2, L3) MAC codes that are repeated in both the income statement and balance sheet. These MAC codes need to be updated.
