As the world's leading financial risk analytics platform, MindBridge constantly strives to provide our customers with the latest and most accurate techniques for analyzing risk within financial data.
As our techniques evolve, it is sometimes necessary to release improvements and updates to our control point tests. This may result in changes to control points, additions, and the removal of certain control points when they are no longer relevant or useful.
Although improvements to our control points always represent a positive change, we recognize that our customers worldwide rely on the accuracy and consistency of analysis results and that risk scoring techniques need to be documented and understood.
We have outlined our policy regarding control point releases below, allowing our users to explore, document, and discuss forthcoming changes prior to release.
Changes to control points will be communicated via email one (1) month before the release. This communication will provide details and documentation for all forthcoming changes, providing an opportunity to update internal documentation, methodology and/or procedures.
MindBridge will endeavor to ensure all customers are made aware of the changes. Targeted communication will be sent to all primary contacts within each customer, including:
- Contract signatories
- Project sponsors
- Technical/QA leads
- Other key individuals responsible for MindBridge deployment
Following this communication, all customers can ask questions about the release, and MindBridge Customer Success Managers will be available to discuss the changes.
Communicated changes will be automatically released to cloud tenants on the set release date, one (1) month after the initial communication. Non-cloud tenants will receive the update on the next scheduled release cycle.
In the event that more time is needed to update documentation, customers can request a temporary opt-out of the planned changes. This must be communicated directly to your Customer Success Manager. During this opt-out period, the tenant in question will not be updated with the latest risk scoring techniques. All tenants must adopt the changes after a period (12) months following the initial release.
Impact on new engagements / analyses
Following the release date, all new engagements created in MindBridge will automatically pick up the changes and apply the revised control points to any new analyses.
Impact on existing engagements and analyses
To guarantee the consistency of existing results produced by MindBridge, any engagement created before the release date will remain unchanged. Any analysis re-run within an older engagement will continue to use the same control point group. MindBridge will support the ability to re-run existing analyses with the older control point group following the release for 12 months.
This deliberate approach ensures risk scores will not change in any existing analyses, and that users will still be able to re-create a set of results in the future if needed.
If users wish to re-run an existing analysis with the revised set of control points, they must create a new engagement post-release.
Re-creating older analyses after 12 months
Following the release date, users will be able to re-run existing analyses with the older control points for up to 12 months. After this period, older analyses will still be available to view, but users will lose the ability to re-run these analyses using the older control point versions.
If there exists a need to re-run an analysis using an older version of the control points after 12 months (for example, to support a legal requirement), your Customer Success Manager will be happy to assist*.
