Add and remove keywords

  1. Find and select Suspicious Keyword, Manual Entry, or Complex instrument to expand the desired section.
  2. Select Edit to go to the control point settings.
  3. Add and/or remove keywords as described below.
  4. When you are satisfied, select Done.

Add keywords

  1. Select Add keywords then enter a new keyword or key phrase.
  2. Use the comma key, or, press enter/return on your keyboard to add the word.
Note: Keywords are not case sensitive.

There is no limit to the number of keywords you can add.

Tip: You can conduct partial word searches on the Suspicious Keyword and Complex Instrument control points by add an asterisk ( * ) to the end of the word. For example, adding the keyword "adjust*" would return "adjustment," "adjusted," "adjusting," etc. Any keywords added to the Manual Entry control point settings do not require an asterisk, as it automatically searches for partial and exact matches.

Remove keywords

Use the X icon to remove keywords from the list. When a keyword is removed, MindBridge will not search for it.

Scenario

During previous audits of Highland Wilds, a particular type of transaction was flagged as being at high risk for misstatement. Details related to this type of transaction are contained in the memo field (such as a particular vendor, or type of transaction).

As part of the current year’s audit, keywords unique to that transaction type are added to the Suspicious Keyword control point settings. Using this method, transactions containing the defined keywords will be flagged as high risk, increasing the likelihood that they will be sampled.
