QuickBooks Online: Journal Report

Learn about the process of exporting a Journal Report from QuickBooks Online to an Excel file.

Configuration Details

  1. Select the Reports tab from the menu bar.
  2. Scroll down to the For my Accountant section.

  3. Under the For my accountant section, find click Journal.

  4. Set the date range and export it as an Excel file.
  5. Save the file to your desired location.
  6. Use the Drag and Drop functionality to import the file into MindBridge.


Technical names of reports in QuickBooks (might not exactly match the name displayed in the user interface)

The technical name of this report in the QuickBooks system is journalreport

The following are the technical names in QuickBooks Online of other files you might need to pull:

File for MindBridge

Report to Pull

General Ledger


Opening Balance


Closing Balance


Chart of Accounts
