Possible issues

Any of these may result in errors or warnings such as:

  MBER1134 - Invalid date value in row for : ''. For best results, convert your
  dates to format, or save your file in Excel format (XLSX). - Args({row=1378,
  column=Original Accounting Date, value=NC 06-18-2019, expectedValue=yyyy-MM-dd})

  MBER1193 - MindBridge has detected that the date on line and column in your data
  set that appears to be in the future (). Please ensure that that contents of
  your data set is valid. - Args({row=5102834, column=7, date=2209-01-02})

  MBER1194 - MindBridge has detected your data set's date range found on column
  exceeds the expected 5-year range ( - ). Please ensure that that contents of
  your data set is valid. - Args({column=5, minDate=2013-01-17, maxDate=2020-02-05})

  MBER1195 - MindBridge has detected your dataset's date range found on column
  exceeds MindBridge's supported 25-year range ( - ). Please ensure that that contents
  of your dataset is valid and that it supports MindBridge's 25-year range. To
  resolve this issue, consider splitting up your dataset into separate datasets
  containing 5 years worth of data.

Resolution

  • Solution #1: verify that the years in your date column(s) are correct
    • Step 1: If all years are within a 25 year range, you can choose to ignore MBER1193 and MBER1194, which are just warnings, but could alert you to possible errors.
    • Step 2: most out of range years, such as 2209, tend to be typos or other errors that you might want to consult your client about.
  • Solution #2: check for invalid date formats or invalid values (MBER1134)
    • Step 1: sometimes dates in an Excel column are not always in the same format, including sometimes being in Excel numeric format (a number that represents the Excel value of the date).
      • Select the entire column, Format -> Cells (keyboard shortcut Ctrl-1 on PC or ⌘1 on Mac)
      • Click on Number if it is not already selected, then Date, then the one that is in the format YYYY-MM-DD:mceclip1__2_.png
    • Step 2: check for invalid values, including letters, text, errors such as #N/A, #VALUE!, #NAME?
      • The presence of letters/text could indicate that some columns got shifted over for some rows, and/or broken lines (an entry that should be on one row got split into two or more rows, often due to newline or carriage return characters within a field)
      • You should ask your client for a better data export if you find more than a handful of these kinds of issues of shifted columns or broken lines
