Using the Download Manager

  • Updated

Summary

The Download Manager provides a centralized location for users to track, access, and manage exported files within MindBridge. Whether exporting visualizations, data tables, or reports, the Download Manager ensures that files are readily accessible without the need to regenerate them.

This feature supports audit efficiency by streamlining access to exported content, offering greater visibility into file generation activity, and reducing duplication of effort

Configuration details

  • Access requirements: Any user with file export permissions can use the Download Manager.
  • Platform availability: Available in modules where data export is supported.
  • Retention policy: Files remain available in the Download Manager for a limited time (e.g., 7 or 30 days), depending on your organization's configuration.

Accessing the Download Manager

You can access the Download Manager by selecting Export next to any report or balance check. Once an export is triggered, the Download Manager displays a list of recent exports within the application. To review past exports at any time, go to the File manager and open the Exported files tab to view a complete list of files you have exported.

Export Statuses

Each export includes a status indicator to reflect its progress:

Status Description
In progress The file is being generated.
Completed The file is ready to download.
Failed The export did not complete successfully. An error message will explain the issue.

File details

Each entry saved to Download Manager includes:

  • File name
  • Export date
  • Source (e.g., GL analysis, dashboard)
  • Status message (if applicable)
  • Download link

You can access this information by navigating to the File manager and opening the Exported files tab. This provides full visibility into export activity.

Using the Download Manager

You can:

  • View and download previous exports
  • Retry failed downloads
  • Access exports from various modules in one place
