Prior periods

  • Updated

Summary

Adding prior periods to your analysis provides MindBridge with historical context and allows for more robust analysis of your current period data. Prior period data appears on several dashboards in the analysis results (depending on the analysis type), allowing you to see period-over-period changes, and set expectations around forecasting in MindBridge.

Before the analysis is run, you can add, edit, and delete prior periods of data as needed.

Learn how to manage your prior periods below.

Add prior periods to an analysis

Select the plus icon ( Add element icon ) on the right side of the analysis to add a new prior period. A new prior period column will appear on the right side of the analysis; the date range is automatically set to a 12-month time frame, ending the day before the current period (or most recent prior period).

In the example image below, the analysis period dates for the current period and prior period 1 each span one calendar year.

Within the prior period section, you can:

  • Import required and optional files for each period
  • Adjust the analysis period dates for each period (see note in edit analysis period section)
Note: Prior period files must contain the same data fields as used in the current period files.
