Summary
Risk scores combine multiple control point results to generate stronger statements about entries or transactions. Engagement-level risk scores inherit default settings from the library, but can be adjusted in the engagement settings to tailor analyses based on your needs.

Configuration details
App Admins may restrict how much control a user has over adding and removing control points, and adjusting their unique weights and settings. Depending on which settings have been restricted, certain elements may be removed or read-only.
Go to risk scores in the engagement settings
- Select the logo in the MindBridge sidebar.
You will go to the Organizations page. - Select View in line with the organization you want to see, or click anywhere in the row.
You will go to the Engagements page. - Select the settings icon (
) in line with the desired engagement.
You will land on the General settings tab on the Engagement settings page. - Select the tab for the analysis type you want to see settings for.
- Select Risk scores in the left-side menu.
You will see lists of risk scores available within the engagement.
Overview
Search for risk scores
Enter the name of the risk score you want to find (in part or in full) in the search bar, then press enter/return on your keyboard or select the magnifying glass icon ( ) to conduct the search.
Filter for risk scores
Each risk score can be applied to specific accounts. Use the Account menu to filter for risk scores that impact specific accounts.
Risk scores are organized into risk groups. Use the Risk group menu to filter for risk scores that impact a specific risk group:
- Overall scores (MindBridge score)
- Assets assertion scores
- Liabilities and equity assertion scores
- Profit and loss assertion scores
View a risk score
Use the chevron icon ( ) in line with the risk score you want to view. You will see all of the control points included within each risk score and their respective weights.
Adjust control point weights
- Drag the slider in line with the control point to an appropriate weight, or input a value from 0 to 100 in the number field.
- When you are satisfied, Save your changes.
A pop-up window appears. - Enter the reason(s) for the change.
- Select Done.
Select Discard changes any time to undo your most recent changes and go back to the Risk score screen without saving.
Adjust other control point settings
Each of these control points have settings that are applied to all risk scores in the specific analysis type within the engagement.
Expand the control point row to expose its universal settings.
Within the edit window for any of the following control points, select Reset to default to revert to default settings, or select Cancel to discard any recent changes and go back to the Risk scores screen.
Complex Instrument
- Select Edit.
A pop-up window appears. - Use the X to remove words from the list.
- Select Add keywords at the bottom of the list of words.
- Enter a new keyword or phrase.
- Use the comma key (,) or press return/enter on your keyboard.
You can enter as many keywords as needed. - When you are satisfied, select Done.
End of Analysis Period
- Select Edit.
A pop-up window appears. - Adjust the number of days after an analysis period based on your firm's methodology.
- When you are satisfied, select Done.
End of Reporting Period
- Select Edit.
A pop-up window appears. - Adjust the number of days after a reporting period based on your firm's methodology.
- When you are satisfied, select Done.
High Monetary Value
- Select Edit.
A pop-up window appears. - Adjust the top percentage of monetary values based on your firm's methodology.
- When you are satisfied, select Done.
Manual Entry
- Select Edit.
A pop-up window appears. - Use the X to remove keywords.
- To add a new keyword to the search, select Add keywords beneath Manual Entry Codes
To define keywords that should be excluded from the search, select Add keywords beneath Excluded Keywords. - Enter a new keyword (or phrase) based on your firm's methodology, then press the comma key (,) or return/enter on your keyboard.
- You can enter as many keywords as needed.
- Use the minus icon (—) to remove a row and all keywords.
- Use the plus icon (+) to add new rows.
If you add a new row, enter the name of the column header you want MindBridge to search. - When you are satisfied, select Done.
Material Value
- Select Edit.
A pop-up window appears. - Adjust materiality based on your firm's methodology.
- When you are satisfied, select Done.
Old Unpaid Invoice
- Select Edit.
A pop-up window appears. - Adjust the number of days based on your firm's methodology.
- When you are satisfied, select Done.
Suspicious Keywords
- Select Edit.
A pop-up window appears. - Use the X to remove words from the list.
- Select Add keywords at the bottom of the list of words.
- Enter a new keyword or phrase.
- Use the comma key (,) or press return/enter on your keyboard.
You can enter as many keywords as needed. - When you are satisfied, select Done.
Disable/Enable risk scores
You can disable and re-enable custom and preset risk scores, but you cannot disable the MindBridge score.
- Open the more actions menu (
) to the right of the risk score.
- Select between:
- Disable risk score — Control points within the risk score are no longer editable. The Disabled status will appears beside the risk score name.
- Enable risk score — Control points within the risk score are editable.
- When you are satisfied, Save your changes.
A pop-up window appears. - Enter a reason for the change.
- When you are satisfied, select Done.
Add and remove control points in a risk score
You can add and remove control points within preset risk scores.
- Expand a risk group.
- Open the more actions menu (
) to the right of the risk score name.
- Select Edit.
A pop-up window appears - Select the Control points field to expand a list of available control points.
- Check the boxes next to the control points you want to add, or enter the control point with your keyboard then press enter/return.
- Select the X icon to the left of the named control point to remove it from the risk score, or use the X icon to the right of the field to remove all control points from the risk score.
- When you are satisfied, select Done.
New control points are highlighted in blue and will have a default weight of 0. - Adjust the control point's weight as desired, then Save your work.
A pop-up window appears. - Enter a reason for the weight change.
- When you are satisfied, select Done.
